Get to know Your Pros:
Catherine lives in Naples, FL where she teaches Pickleball full time. Originally from Montreal Canada, she grew up playing tennis and acquired a full athletic scholarship to play tennis at Michigan State University. At MSU she was coached by Simone Jardim who introduced her to pickleball and it was not long before she fell in love with the sport. She has been teaching Pickleball full time for the last 3 years and loves sharing her passion for the sport. She is currently ranked in the Top 3 in Women’s Singles and Women’s Doubles. And Top 5 in Mixed Doubles.
Jay lives in Wichita, KS where he trains and teaches Pickleball full time. Originally from Paris, France, he grew up playing tennis in several countries and decided to settle in the states when he received a full athletic scholarship to play tennis at Wichita State University. After completing his degrees, Jay found pickleball and quickly became addicted. Now, he enjoys competing just as much as transmitting his passion to others and helping them reach new horizons. He is currently ranked in the Top 5 in Men’s Singles and Mixed Doubles. And Top 10 in Men’s Doubles.
Athena is originally from Miami, Florida and grew up playing junior tennis in Florida. At 16 she acquired a full athletic scholarship to play tennis at Michigan State University and competed there for 4 years where she broke the record for most singles wins of all time in Michigan State women’s tennis history and most overall wins of all time in Michigan State women’s tennis history. She graduated from Michigan State University in May 2017 completed her Masters degree at St. Thomas University in Sports Administration this August 2019. She was introduced to pickleball by Simone Jardim while in college at Michigan State, who was her head tennis coach for 3 of her 4 years there. She has been playing pickleball for a little over three years now and and has been coaching pickleball camps and clinics all over the country for a year now. She manages and coaches Catherine Parenteau, one of the best pickleball players in the world.
